A molecular biologist from Germany quit his job and financial security to serve our planet. What brings a human to the decision to switch his career path completely into another direction after even completing his Master´s theses at University of Cambridge?

His creative mind, his love for nature and adventures.

With these attributes, he had to leave his biomedical career behind and work for nature´s sake to raise awareness against the incredible amount of plastic we humans consume.

​

He moved into his campervan and is now traveling around to collect plastic at beaches. Within 160 days he collected 550 kg of trash, produced about 160 video clips and composed for each an ukulele song to match the topic.
